Pulsations was founded in 1997 in response to the need for a convenient. affordable and good quality Phase IV Cardiac Rehabilitation programme to serve the population of East Leeds, as, up to that date, there wasn't one.
The aims and objectives of the group are to :-
Maintain contact with other people with heart problems and offer mutual support
Provide a safe environment for a regular exercise programme
Maintain contact with health professionals
Keep abreast of current thinking and after-care
Interact with other Heart Support Groups
Whatever their age, all members share the desire to look after themselves and to enjoy life!
The members of the group understand the anxieties that fellow cardiac patients may have about continuing a healthy life after illness.
The thought of exercise may be daunting at first but it needn't be. The experience should be enjoyable and the benefits can be significant.
Come for a chat with us and speak with your Cardiac Rehabilitation Nurse, G.P. or Consultant to establish that the classes are suitable.
